IMHO, Kape is trying to dominate the VPN market without making sure its products work as claimed. ![]() I think NordVPN has the best tech support of the three I mentioned and that PIA and Cyberghostvpn's "tech support" are often amateurish, at best. I sympathize with your trouble working with their tech support department. You are using Fedora 35 - which version(s) of PIA have you tried? You should also disable any faulty proxy servers you might have set up in PIA and try switching to custom DNS servers. Furthermore, you can change connection preferences like VPN protocol, encryption mode, and small packets. I was going to post a general comment here about my difficulties using Fedora with VPNs and your post gave me an entry. Make sure it is up to date or try to reinstall it. My experience shows that two of them aren't compatible - NordVPN and CyberghostVPN. Keep in mind that all these VPN companies claim compatibility with Fedora. I can't recall whether ExpressVPN is compatible with Fedora. I used ExpressVPN briefly but it didn't live up to some of its claims. ![]() In September, Kape said it is buying ExpressVPN - a highly rated VPN service - for almost $1 billion. What also concerns me is that Kape Technologies owns/controls Cyberghostvpn and Private Internet Access. Nord works OK on Windows 10 and Debian-based Linux distros - so I told Nord please keep my money and just fix your software. Same with NordVPN - which recently offered my money back because their last two releases have been incompatible with Fedora - so I run an older version of NordVPN, something like 3.8.1. I've communicated with their tech support several times and their response is "don't expect it any time soon or ever". I'll update this later.Ĭyberghostvpn - I've given up on them ever updating their software to run on the latest Fedora versions. Windows 7 Vpn Not Working, Betternet Vpn Macbook, Vpn Client Uni Leipzig Mac, Cyberghost 1 Year Prepaid. With Intent (Online Fiction - Complete) by. 1 of 5 stars 2 of 5 stars 3 of 5 stars 4 of 5 stars 5 of 5 stars. ![]() But I'm typing this on a Linux Mint laptop so I can't tell you which version of PIA I run on my Fedora 34 home desktop. Private Internet Access Installer Is Damaged. I am running Fedora 34 and one reason I don't upgrade immediately is because unresolved issues often appear. I'm concerned about compatibility - or lack of if - with three popular VPNs - Cyberghostvpn, NordVPN and Private Internet Access - and Fedora.
